That question has already been answered elsewhere here at ET...
A Latino person can be a racist, Black person can be a racist, White person can be racist, Minorities can be a racist, country to country...anybody of any ethnicity can be a racist, anybody can discriminate for any reason and any country can violate the human rights of their citizens or of other countries.
- Yet, that wasn't the question being asked by the person that wanted a definition as if it can shed light on the number of racists at this forum or legislate laws against racism that already exist under anti-discrimination.
Interesting that the latter above mentioned countries...United States is
not listed in the top 10 (Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia).
The above countries mentioned...
- They are countries that embrace human rights as worries grow over the erosion of civil rights in the global war on Coronavirus / Covid-19.
That's why there are anti-discrimination laws / civil rights laws in most countries of the world in comparison to 60 years ago.
That's a ton of progress in my opinion but the United States needs to catch up with other countries leading the way for equality.
Here's the thing, its an issue
beyond racism which is one of the primary issues the United States lag the above mentioned countries. In my opinion, its the reason why there's so much social / civil unrest in the United States.
- Covid-19 exposed a lot of cracks in societies that's beyond racism.
It's one of the primary reasons why I left the United States to raise my family elsewhere although I still maintain property / residence in the United States and France. Friends & Relatives initially question my decision many years ago...no longer since my illness in 2016 and what's occurring in today's societies in 2020.
No country is perfect but I think I made a good decision.
