Deja vu all over again.

Biden Gas 2.png
The problem is that he only verbally assaults.i know you wished wild west capitalism and completely free markets made their way back. Not going to happen ever again.

What I am suggesting is to start reigning in industry HARD. not just words but with action. Expropriate entire plants and nationalize them based on national security.

Answer me this : oil prices are at 118 not 200. Oil is freely available at current market prices. WHY do we see 6 dollar per gallon gasoline prices at the pump? Who is earning the insane spread here? It's the refinery industry period. They have for decades collaborated and agreed on pricing under the table. If you disagree with Biden's attacks then answer who is currently making a killing? If it was free markets then some competitors would lower gasoline prices to grab market share. The REAL problem is the filthy industry swamp in washington, infested by lobbyists and bribed politicians who are all sleeping in the bed of the energy industry. Clean that up and you have functioning markets. You clean that up by hitting the energy industry hard to either shut down and stop operating in the US entirely or to innovate, invest at least into expansion given the industry has operated for decades below demand.

A lot of US industries operate like they run their business to the ground as long as they can extract max profit. No investment in maintenance or improvements. Check out the banking industry. Trailing the entire western world. Look at ISPs. Mobile phone operators. Natural gas or electricity providers.

Are you SERIOUSLY telling us that the problem lies with Biden or Trump? They are puppets. The real problem is a corrupt and totally moronic and dysfunctional Washington DC and relationship to corporates. The US almost puts Nigeria to shame in terms of corruption at the highest levels.

Instead of 5 paragraphs of mostly worthless conjecture, explain why oil/gas prices were so much lower before Biden was elected--including pre-COVID? We could've been paying $5-6/gallon for gas before Biden went to war with domestic energy if what you're saying it true...but we didn't. Bottom line: when you make it as difficult and onerous as possible to produce, refine oil--and depend on less stable nations who don't even like us--you pay more. It's not even debatable. It's like a 500 pound guy who eats junk food all day saying "My digestive and metabolic processes are so complex and there are so many variables, that you can't prove it's those 30 Twinkies I eat daily that make me fat." That's literally how bad the "fact checking" articles are that try to blame high oil prices on everything but the main cause.

Lol, because oil prices were at ZERO just two years ago. Here is your answer. At whatever oil price the refiners have collude for decades and made sure to extract maximum profit without politics ensuring that those corporates operate in a highly regulated environment where innovation and maintenance is ENFORCED and not just a byproduct that is neglected.

The gas prices we paid when oil was in the 20s or 30s were equally INSANE. That's the simple answer and truth.

To your way of thinking, is Canada better?
Like Australia, Canada is a disarmed soft-totalitarian state that could go full-blown police state at a moment's notice. Look at Australia during the lockdowns, with people being sent to camps, restricted to very limited travel areas, etc. People who only look at "how many benefits does the gummint give me" to compare nations are beyond naive.

Australians were sent to camps? Link please...

Lol, winey little bitch (referring to the interviewee) . Playing bulldog conservative but then melts down when doing a few days in isolation. Too funny...

For the uninformed, it's a quarantine center mostly for returnees to Australia during the height of the pandemic. Many countries had them as well to lower the risk of mass infections. I know of several arch conservatives in our circles who died because they refused to acknowledge the seriousness of the pandemic and refused to get vaccinated. Family fathers in their 40s and 50s. Those selfish pricks left entire families behind and in financial trouble because of their selfishness. Zero empathy for them but lots of those they left behind. Assholes.

My last response on this thread. No time for a tar baby trap today.

That's about the worst attempt at whataboutism I've seen yet. We're at 40 year+ inflation, record gas prices, employers can't find people willing to work, Biden has literally assaulted our domestic oil industry on multiple fronts..,and we're comparing this to something that didn't phase a booming economy?
%%
I HAD not looked @ it that way\good points.
Pres Biden has been so wrong, so long. But simple stats suggest as the decades go on + on; he could accidently get one right.:D:D
Good little idea\ cut the federal + state gas tax.
I dont care how many RINOs hate it, perhaps because they did not think of it:caution::caution:

Remember that Keystone cancel-culture thing?

Hows that working out for Biden? :D
He's been in office about a year and a half. Keystone would be many more years away from completion and would add miniscule amounts to our needs. Not to mention we have been exporting last two years record amounts of oil and products.

How's that working out. It's called the free market. Canada can keep their crapping tar sands.
