Living in Dagestan gives them a lot to consider. Putin takes more ethnic kids from that region than any other.

But, at the same time, they live next door to Georgia, where tens of thousands of St. Petersburg/Moscow type young men come streaming in every day to avoid being mobilized.

Yeh, that's gotta give them plenty to think about. It would piss me off too. They have definitely given more than their "fair share" already.

The pickle that Kadyrov is in is that he is trying to get all these chechens to go to Ukraine, but he also knows that the opposition rebels are going to be even stronger if a good part fo the chechen troops are out of the country.

The new guy that Putin just hired to head up the overall Ukraine campaign, the Syrian butcher, is also a hard core veteran of the Chechen wars so he will have some brutal solution along with Kadyrov. But he and Kadyrov know that you can put the opposition down but it is a big piece of work just as it was before. Really messy when you are trying to kill people and also get them to go to Ukraine and fight as well. Not a trick that viewers should try at home.
