How does Hawaii connect to the internet?

It's my understanding there is no "trans-Pacific" fiber. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What is a ping to Chicago or NY?

Quote from New Jack City:

Yeah most likely at a prop/arcade, I obviously don't have the pedigree for one of the big institutions.

I don't make my money here by trading, but finance is my #1 interest. And the reason I want to be in New York, rather than here, is because that is the financial heart of the US. Hawaii is more for vacationers & retirees, this isn't that place you come to start your life.

Moving to New York is already done in my mind, I will make it over there, what I was looking for was advice if I should go to college or not.

If you have the opportunity to go to college, I say go to college. You can trade while you're enrolled and the markets will still be around when you graduate.

I'll never understand the infatuation with large cities, but I grew up in one, so maybe that's why. You'll be dealing with a very high cost of living and some insane competition for jobs. Omaha, NE is where I'd want to be.

Whatever you do, don't major in finance.
