Or you know, we could hold police accountable for their actions and allow them to have the proper equipment to respond to actual emergent threats.

Maybe if we put police in jail for life for shooting someone who can't obey conflicting orders, or sleeping in their bed, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or walking at the wrong hour, or owning an pet, or literally existing in the presence of a police officer we might actually see measured police response.

Here's a better slogan: defund the police union, require at minimum a 2 year degree and a full 6-8 months of basic, and psychological evaluation every year. We could even go further and make the police officers being put on trial use a public defender just like regular Joes!

Lefties are on a tear now to defund police for bad behavior but in many, many, many instances the police command wanted to remove the assaulting officer for various other offenses earlier on but were prevented from doing so by the unions. Same with pervert or incompetent teachers or other problems. Guess who has been the leading force in unions protecting them? That's right. The very same lefties who now think it is white supremacy that has protected them.
 
It would be better if the police did not kill animals, and even rodents, which are pests, and would contact the service that catches animals. I would never be able to kill an animal, even if it was a carrier of the infection. Squirrels constantly ran to me and I did not try to kill them or even catch them, because I am very afraid of them, they can bite and decided that it would be better to contact the company squirrel removal, which specializes in this. The guys know better how not to harm the animals than how the police will deal with this issue.

Seriously... the police couldn't just send two patrol cars for 1 suspected gunman? This right here sums up a lot of issues with response and magnitude.
