Deflation-stealth in '08 shows face in '10

Quote from S2007S:

Quick story, more inflation on products and services.

Talking to a friend today, she went to get her dog groomed, as she was leaving the owner told her the prices were going from $55.00 to $70.00 Starting Jan 2011

The same friend who owns this dog buys canned dog food, just received the bill each can went from $3.19 to $3.49. This is over the last 2 months.

I wish I could make these stories up......

all you fools who think there is no inflation better get ready....

For every irrelevant, anecdotal story you have, there are just as many irrelevant, anecdotal stories of people getting lower prices.

Please stop the nonsense. Who cares what your "friend" paid for a doggie hair cut last weekend? Nobody, that's who.

Quote from Ed Breen:

Real dogs eat dry food. It comes in a big bag.

S2007S carries his dog in a purse like Paris Hilton. Those dogs won't even touch anything but the best canned food.

Common Kass, it certainly is more interesting than his long winded economic opinion..and more factual. I'm wondering if the dog is like a baby substitute.

Quote from Kassz007:

USD is still considered a safe haven currency....for now.

that means it has an occasional blip up. what is now is not important compared to what is tomorrow. the same is true for for US military supremacy

The problem lies in uncontrolled gov't spending. US depended on the reserve currency to fund wars and the great society simultaneously. Which one is going to get precedence when the time comes to cut? And make no mistake, that time is approaching quickly. The answer is obvious. China is buying up resources with theirs, while US squanders and wastes it's inheritance. Lack of leadership, plain and simple.
