The reason they don't bring the evidence forward is that none exists.

When asked for evidence, they do what all intellectually bankrupt people do. They turn the question around and fire it back at the questioner. Kids say 'I know you are but what am I?' ID'ers say

'Why don't you provide evidence that ID is not possible?'

The only surprising part about this is that they think this type of obfuscation could possibly work.

btw pattersb... I strongly suggest you avoid engaging me on matters of English usage. Your insipid comments are making you look more of a fool than you usually do. I figured this thread would eventually attract ET's worst bigots. You just couldn't avoid a reference to your worst fear, the gay man. I wonder why you are so deathly afraid of gays...? Someone who is propagating an idea, who seeks proof of an alternate idea before he will entertain it...when he doesn't even have proof of the idea he is propagating, is evidence of what is really going on.

As usual you got it wrong. It's the ID critics that ask the ID'ers to prove evolution is impossible.

The question ID'ers ask the ID critics is this:

What would you count as evidence for ID?

And this is in response to those who claim there is no evidence for ID. It helps the ID'er gage the meaning of such claims and whether they should take them seriously.

The "no evidence" claim falls apart with closer scrutiny. Evidence is simply interpreted data. The only way there can be no evidence for ID is if ID was proven to be false. Only then could we say about the world that none of the data is evidence for ID. But no one has proven ID false. Thus, the "no evidence" claim is a person-dependent claim, where people advertise the fact that they don't interpret any data to support ID. Which is entirely expected from a closed-minded skeptic of ID.

Look, if an ID critic can't tell me what they would count as evidence for ID, that tells me they aren't an open-minded, objective inquirer. It tells me they are an apologist rather than an investigator. Therefore, their skepticism is not convincing to me.
