Quite so.

It is part of the cycle and has worked out very well for Biden, except covid is beginning to feel a little like the AFG war for lots of people. Joe has announced victory a couple times over and then that went away, and he got enormous mileage out playing Santa Clause handing out Trump vaccines now he saying "yeh, and that worked so well that we about to go through another round of boosters with more to come after that most likely."- slight paraphrase there but not much. We get it. Trump this and maga-hat wearers that in regard to the vaccine. Nevertheless, some battle fatigue is setting in on the part of people who have been told that they just need to flatten the curve, and then they just need to get vaccinated and lock down for a while, and now it is they just need to rinse and repeat.

The AFG scenario took the total collapse of the southern border out of the news cycle for a while too. Guess what. It did not go away.

Not sure that a barrage of covid news is going to pretty some of this up, even though it worked great for a while. Later today there will be a big annoucement that Crapovax has been approved or ramped up production or something. Yeh. Okay. Who cares. We have seen it all before.
 
Turtle Face Mitch McConnell should reel in Trey Gowdy and Tom Cotton from the pastures and open multiple investigations on the Afghan suicide bombings.

They should drag it on till the 2024 elections.

Former President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday that he had saved "millions of people" from dying of Covid-19.

Trump continued: "We did a great job on Covid, including the fact that I got a vaccine in less than nine months, which would have taken five years. But we did a great job."

The former president said that he opposed vaccine requirements for work and travel.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby acknowledged Tuesday that Americans were "stranded" in Afghanistan, despite the earlier stance by White House press secretary Jen Psaki that use of the term to describe those unable to escape the Taliban-controlled country was "irresponsible."

In an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Kirby admitted to not knowing the exact number of Americans still in Afghanistan, but that efforts to extract them from the war-torn country would be through diplomatic and economic means, not with the military.
