Decrease candle width while still using scroll wheel for time frame?

when I click the buttons for bar width the chart just zooms in or out. I know you can select a set time frame and adjust candles but then you lose the ability to zoom on charts. any help is appreciated.

To decrease candle width[or size] i go from a monthly candlechart \
to a daily chart. But on IBD charts; its mostly daily or weekly barcharts

didn't do anything for me unfortunately.

His can slim system ; it even uses slim barcharts/LOL
I prefer non slim candle-charts.
