Nope. The Constitution is still doing its job. The First Amendment protects you from government censorship, not a private company’s.
Water over the dam at this point, but the clear lesson learned is that a private company cannot be trusted as a platform for free speech.Nope. The Constitution is still doing its job. The First Amendment protects you from government censorship, not a private company’s.
Which might be an argument if government , senators, representatives other elected officials where not calling for the banning on social media but they are so your argument sucks.
When government puts pressure on social media that's effectively the government censoring.
Nope. Only if they do it through law/legislation, asking for it is protected by their own first amendment right.
It is not complicated.
We need a countervailing force to Capital, and government. We need... chaos.Water over the dam at this point, but the clear lesson learned is that a private company cannot be trusted as a platform for free speech.
What group will be silenced next? On this day (MLK day in the US) I wonder if Twitter would have censored Dr. King?
We need a social media platform that is not run by a corporation... where a voice can't be silenced by interest, or some "company policy."

Sort of like Trump speech calling for quote, peaceful protest, being responsible for riot??
That seems pretty not complicated also but apparently it's more complicated than we thought

Trump's use of the phrase does not come close to countering his appeals to strength and intolerance throughout the rest of the day's speeches and tweets.Sort of like Trump speech calling for quote, peaceful protest, being responsible for riot??

Bro, that's water under the bridge. You are beating a dead horse. We've hashed and rehashed this in other threads. That battle has been decided... it's in the history books. You have won: T was censored and banned from social media. So since Trump has been banned from most social media misinformation and disinformation has dropped 73% online. Think about that. One guy was leveraging private companies’ platforms so hard that his fake news and lies were overtaking actual real news and facts.
There is a social media not run by a company, it’s called a soapbox. Get a permit and microphone and you’re good to go in most public spaces.
