Decent charting software to use with IB

I have tried QT and ATrader, it seems to be too primitive, not too many indicators and tools.

Any one has tried Quant Station? Any comments?

I just downloaded and tried out QuantStation - very, very primitive in my opinion. Nice charts but no custom indicators, etc. NinjaTrader is far better.

For me, the order goes (in terms of price):

- NinjaTrader - free for simulated account.
- Amibroker - works great for me
- Quotetracker - free, lotta nice features.

Hi,

http://www.atrader.org

The charts are shareware, if you are using it just register it after the initial 31 days. $49.

This of course works with IB and is fully integrated with historical and download data.

The program is written by me and is purely based on what i use to trade. Consequently there are limited indicators (becuase i dont need them).

Hope this helps.

Rgs,

Atrader.

If you only need a charting tool and not a front end for your trades, I highly recommend Ensign.
It has the same Fibonacci tools like eSignal that I haven't found elsewhere. And I need them for my trading.
Also $40 a month is great price for what you get.

If you want to integrate your IB account into your software I'd recommend SierraChart.

Not a charting tool but a great front end for IB is ButtonTrader.
It's a great tool for managing your open positions.
However they bill you in Euro currency. The cheapest is €27 per month.

Quote from mac:

I have QT. I currently open IB and do everything from there. I'm gonna start using booktrader feature in IB to enter orders. I am curious as to how other people use these two programs. Do many of you place orders from a chart? booktrader? QT? TWS order management? thanks
I did some testing with ChartTrader and it works quite nice. I think they recently made some improvements.
