ExactlyDude, do your research. January 2, 2007 for president’s Fords death.
Market was closed for 4 consecutive days if I remember correctly due to the weekend, New Year’s Day on Monday, and for Ford on Tuesday

Dude, do YOUR research. Yes, the last time the market closed for a living POTUS death was Ford, fine and dandy.
But the market DID close in an "unorthodox" fashion for 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy. Oi!
Were you even alive when 9/11 happened? Markets were closed for like 6 days or something. So disrespectful to the shit the US has gone through. What is the big deal if the US markets take a break for a day that is not on the schedule, impromptu? Ug!
Lol, yeah I have been making my nut at this since 1995.
How come no one is calling nonsense that in 2018 the markets are still only open 6.5 hrs a day ....what kind of garbage is that....even crypto currency trades 24/7 and that's one of the newest asset classes in decades ...futures trade 24 hrs a day 5 days a week. I mean think about it ...it's a global market place in today's time...it's not 1943 or 1982. We have the capability to trade around the clock. Humans are no longer in the forefront of the financial markets ...it's all computers doing the work so let's stop with extended hour trading and the fu$king pathetic 6.5 hour trading day and extend it to 12 hours a day and eventually move it to 24 hours. Money never sleeps ....
