It is a problem that the rich become richer and the poor become poorer because, in time, you have a really, really bitter mass of poor people and eventually you have a violent revolution.
However, I view it as a law of the universe (like gravity) that the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. It makes sense that having money gives you more opportunities. I will say this for America though, even starting out very poor, with drive, ambition, imagination, intelligence, luck, you can do very, very well for yourself. The opportunity is still there.
