the worldmeter chart is kind of unreliable for Florida since they rely on state numbers. The NYT chart is a much better tell of the FL situation.Florida moves up to #10 state in Covid death rate despite missing most of the initial wave in 2020 when there were no reliable treatments. The number that floors me is over 1 million "active cases" in a state of only 21 million people ( I'm unsure how accurate that number is but it's huge compared to most other states ).
The Worldometer chart is filling in nicely now clearly refuting almost everything Tsing Tao has posted the last two months and illustrating again how delayed reporting works. Unfortunately, medical staff and officials can't be that casual and sloppy with their analysis or they risk getting overwhelmed by a huge outbreak. Some risked it anyways hence Florida and their current Covid experience.
