Death of the Trump brand?

One terrorist attack on the homeland next spring or early summer, and you can say hello to president Trump.
I don't think so. You're not looking beyond the tip of your nose. He would then only exacerbate an already bad situation. I doubt that his appeal reaches beyond the Duck Dynasty contingent.

Trumps the only one who actually says anything.
No he doesn't. He only accentuates fear in the already fearful. Apart from that, he says nothing other than how great he'll be and that Mexico will pay for a wall with a beautiful door.

Wherever he goes the media and the other candidates follow.
If it bleeds, it leads.

When the campaigning is over and Trump loses (in a sane and civilized world), I'm wondering how Trump's present conduct will affect the Trump brand. While Trump is clearly appealing to his base (with "base" doing double duty in meaning here), this political base essentially comprises yahoos that are not really the intended market for his various business interests, apart from his foray into some mainstream consumer markets and his vacuous TV show. (Although, truth be told, I don't see how anyone with money and self-respect would want to be associated with the Trump brand anyway.)

I don't see how Trump's flirtation with totalitarianism will do his principal business interests any good. That he has captivated an ugly hoard of goose-stepping yahoos is hardly a plus. When the dust settles, I can't help but think that the Trump brand will have about as much appeal as a narrow mustache.

Trump makes most of his money by lending out his name to brand on buildings. For example the Trump Tower in Toronto has his name on it and he makes money from it. But he has nothing to do with the funding, construction or maintenance of the build - even when windows fall out of it or the antenna wobbles on top.

Surprising the latest huge projects that Trump is lending his name to are spread across the Middle East - Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the U.A.E. and Dubai. One of them features "42-million square foot development (the Pentagon is 6-million square feet) includes 104 villas and mansions that begin at more than $1 million U.S. dollars and climb to over $10 million a pop."

His anti-Muslim rhetoric has not slowed down these projects at all. His brand is far from dead. In fact business has picked up for him since he has run for President.

He will only be able to lend out his name as long as it is believed to carry some value. His latest political volley smacks of totalitarianism. Let's see if maybe there's a lag period before it affects his business of name-lending.

If you haven't figured it out yet - the wealthy politically-connected citizens of Gulf countries love totalitarianism. They have flourished under it for decades.

Because it serves them well in their native country. Would it be as inviting for them on foreign soil?

And if that's how you feel, then vote for Trump if he's the nominee and who knows? Maybe you'll like totalitarianism, too.
