Deadbeats Win, Taxpayers lose

Why are you trying to distance yourself from your brethren. You want more religion, more guns, and fewer woman's rights. Embrace each other. You're probably related.

As opposed to you and your ilk who increasingly want more women's rights for men.

Not to forget too, on a day such as today, that according to your loon leaders, "mentruating men" are impacted by this abortion case as well.

Yeh, you guys are pretty fucked up.

Your pronouns are "she", "they", and "dumphuk."

For profit schools, especially in the trades, came to be as a result of corporations cutting back and/or completely eliminating their apprentice programs. Initially these schools provided a needed service but as with all things the hustlers and scammers came into the business and corrupted the entire process. Now a kid has to be on the hook for tens of thousands just to get an entry level position when some simple OJT would do just as well.
The fix, while not perfect, is for these for-profit schools to be under strict scrutiny before any federal loans are approved and those loans should be at a very low rate of interest. The bigger problem, much, much bigger, are the so-called traditional colleges where the average student learns absolutely nothing of value for the job market and is saddled with enormous debt. These schools need to undergo a complete overhaul with most of the programs they offer being shitcanned.

People dumb enough to go to a profit school shouldn't have their loans forgiven and the government shouldn't allow federal aid to go to those schools.

Community Colleges do offer some good programs for the Trades. The for profit schools typically offer an accelerated program which is the attraction. Far too many of them are horseshit and those should be put out of business. There are a few good ones, but if I were to advise a young man or woman who is interested in the vocation I would encourage Community College. What I would really encourage is try to find an entry level job in some local Machine Shop/ Fab Shop/Motor repair shop/Body Shop/ HVAC shop, get some OJT and see if they have some tuition reimbursement for schooling. I can tell you they are hurting for people, at least in the Chicago area. Problem is most young people have little to no interest in the trades.

I agree. In my area though there isn't much no experience OTJ training. They at least want one of those 1 year trade certificates before investing in a guy of the street with no experience. Its understandable though imo with all the lazy you kids these days.Companies invest a lot in a person with OTJ training for them to just change thier mind and walk out on them.

I dont like paying for others stupidity.... do you ?
Maybe you need to become a more enthusiastic supporter of good public education. Those students that went to the for profit "schools" were naive and easily duped. They weren't smart and sophisticated like you.

It is interesting to note that the for-profit K-12 charter schools are pretty much the same rip-off as the for-profit colleges.

Noting the majority of non-profit charter schools have been very effective and leaders in education. Not to be confused with the for-profit charter schools.

Why should any school get Federal aid?
Good for you. Let those who can't pay for their education get a job at Walmart. And here is another great money saving idea I know you'll like. Let's fund the dumbest people in our armed forces, the infantry and the MPs, with bake sales. If you're dumb enough to sign up for the infantry, you deserve to be funded with chocolate chip cookies.
