They are terminating the contracts for Trump Organization to operate various sites around the city...

Thye can easily find many other companies to step in and do the same job so the city loses nothing...

Maybe read the article and not the headline.
 
The Trump Organization, made up of hundreds of businesses owned by the president, has three contracts to run concessions in New York City: the Central Park Carousel, the Wollman and Lasker skating rinks, and Ferry Point Golf Course. The attractions bring the company $17 million a year, according to The Washington Post.


Yeah...how will NYC ever replace Trump in running a carousel and golf course....?

It has already been pointed out how Trump and his organization pay nearly no New York or New York City taxes using every tax avoidance scheme possible. This is atually under investigation by New York's AG and Trump is likely to face state charges post-presidency for it. The reality is that the money flow in New York has always been into Trump's pocket from the government. It is good to see NYC take steps to put an end to this by stopping three contracts that put $17M per year into Trump's pocket.

I grew up in NYC... Trump was NY POST headline fodder about his divorces and affairs and dealings in Atlantic City... never revered. Trump Tower in NYC was establsihed as a high end address for the wealthy but beyond that....tabloids poked fun at him.
