I constantly see people promoting moving average crossover systems for daytrading. Of course , when asked they always have a reason why it cannot be done live realtime in front of me. I do not want anyone to reveal any secrets but is there anyone out there in elite trader that daytrades profitably using ONLY moving average crossovers as a trading signal??

right, that's one of the easiest scalps. In an uptrend you can sell with all the weakest bulls behind you. Bulls selling behind you and bulls waiting to buy in front of you. wheee, gotta be quick!Quote from Girlpower:
Can be used in many different ways, trend identification and crosses are just 2.
Using a longer average quite often there is a tension between the average and the price. The price gets too far from the average and the average can not keep up with the movement. So the price comes back to the average quite quickly and picks up the average before continuing in the same direction. This tension point is often a good place to trade contra trend for a point or 2 of retracement.
