I had issues with autotrader taking too long to pass along trade signals to TWS...

I am settled finally after much searching and testing with AmiBroker running Under Crossover with their IBConnect auto trading platform and TWS under OS X. Works great, very fast.. etc....

BTW this config works GREAT with Leopard and Spaces.....

If you've got an intel mac just install windows with bootcamp. Save yourself the hassle. It's as easy as a 10 second restart of your computer to switch between mac osx and windows.

Can you expand on this? What exactly was happening. I had a couple of issues back in Aug with some grain contracts, but the developer released a barage of updates in Sept. and I have not experienced any issues since.

Well my issues are back in April of this year. They are good for issuing updates with regularity, however I needed to code an AT system and the autotrader in between was moving slow as molasses...

If it is fixed. GREAT... I am very happy with AmiBroker and their IBConnect. Works flawlessly... I use it to autotrade the YM contract during the day....

I just thought I might give it a try and it actually works:

Quotetracker running in Mac OS X (no Parallels, no Windows at all) with help of Crossover (built on Wine libraries)

It even connects directly to Interactive Brokers running on directly on the Mac... pretty amazing....

Killer suggestion. I have a 15" Macbook Pro and was dreading the thought of having to boot it into Windows with bootcamp just to get decent charting capabilities.

I tried Quotetracker on a trial version of Crossover with my IB account today and everything worked seamlessly. The Quotetracker help page for pulling down the IB data feed was idiot-proof. I'm still kind of in shock that I didn't run into any glitches.

Thanks again!

Well I am running Leopard and my IB is buggy, so I thought I would try running IB in Windows via Crossover. Well, Crossover loads well as did Internet Explorer -- but IB won't load, either browser or stand alone. If this is better than Fusion or Parallels, I dread to think what they will be like. And forget IB's webinars on WebEx. Couldn't get them to work on Crossover, either.
