ES didn’t open when you think it did. My guy on the inside works in Europe too.

I don’t show my charts. But on a day like today I don’t need a chart.

That is true. Everyone has a rear view mirror. Good to look ahead too though. That’s where the money is made. On free money days, just have your hands out.

The daily chart triggered a bear flag in a bear market. There are any number of downside targets based on one's trade plan.

Just read @speedo answers. He KNOWS and gives good advice.

Exactly right. After a big overnight drop already, you have to always be mindful of the gap fill. You can't just take a short at the open even if you have high confidence in the day ending very low. If you simply short at the open after a huge overnight drop, you will get killed half the time.

Yup you're guessing. So would I if I answered without knowing the trader. But I try not to do that.
