Daytrading CFDs with IB

Hello everyone,

I just started day-trading CFDs with IB since I have a small account, I trade stocks between 100M-3B in market cap.

I would like to know if there is a way to know the leverage allowed for each stock before placing an order?

Thank you in advance.

Regards.

Volatile small-caps often have higher margin reqs for CFDs.

Right click on order, check margin impact.

Hey how much equity do you need to open a cfd acount with them?

The normal account minimum applies.

and hows the platform? is it the same one you use for daytrading regular stocks?

Yes, it is the same platform.

You will be able to trade stocks and their CFD equivalents effectively using the same account. Although, technically you will have a CFD sub account.

If you're wondering whether or not to open an account with IB, I'd suggest just do it. If after a month or two you don't like it you can close your account and have your balance returned within a couple of days.
