Whether he tried to get kicked off or not, I'm not any happier about the language than anyone else. What bothers me is the hypocrisy.
So ET is tough on "language"? Click Search and enter "asshole". Know what you get? 10 pages (a number of which are from this thread, but hardly all). Enter "fuck" and you get 27!!
So let's lose the fiction that JR was censured because of his language.
Where's Baron in all this ? Why hasn't he surfaced ? There was a thread by Brandonf and lots of replies were knocked off if the moderator felt it was off the thread. No doubt that's why the thread didn't go anywhere. In my opinion , and I know I don't count for much around here but JR"s thread is the reason basically for this site. TO HELP ANYONE WHO WANTS TO IMPROVE AND LEARN DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF TRADING> Baron should clean up the bullshit and let Johnny Rotten post his method. Okay he swore , so what. He told people to piss off , so what , but he really was giving something. Get off your ass Baron this guy was adding something more valuable than most could give. Give some of these " moderators" castor oil, and quick.
Not to mention he drew tons of attention to himself and his posts. The only result of his actions was that he would be watched closer than your average poster that might slip through the cracks. He knew this going in.
I appreciate JR's contribution, I said this in my first reply to this thread. I even printed out his first two posts in this topic. However, it bugs me to no end when people cry FOUL after THEY break the rules and get caught.
To add insult to injury, they invariably leave those they were claiming to "help" high and dry as they storm off in a huff, just like they were planning to do all along.
JR knows the atmosphere around here, and he knows how the moderators operate. He set this whole thing up from the start. He might not want to be a "GURU", but he has certainly become a MARTYR, hasn't he? The desired effect has been achieved, and JR can now join the EliteTrader mythology.
