Folks - I have just received my first act of censorship. tntneo (I assume it was you?) just pulled off one of my posts. Let me be totally transparent: the post contained bad language and was not specifically related to trading. In other words, like many of my posts!

It was censored. What a shame this thread must now come to a close because of such action. Part of my persona is education and part entertainment. The vast majority of people following this thread through 57 pages seem to have no problem with my persona. I have probably been responsible for more helpfulness than anyone else in recent times. Sometimes, you have to look the other way and bend the rules a little bit. Magna seemed to understand this.

My advice to people who don't like me is just to put me on Ignore. But this act of censorship is totally without merit, given all that I have done in this thread. It would appear that political correctness and a rigid application of the rules is more important than bending them in recognition of what I have "given".

The only way I can be stopped from leaving this site, is if enough people kick up enough fuss about this. I am who I am. Accept it, or Ignore me. But censor me and I'm gone. Either that post gets put back or it's tatty bye from JR.

You're welcome old bean. In the end, it was bound to happen I think. Guys like me must either be killed or absorbed into the mainstream and taught how to behave. It's just short-sighted political correctness gone mad. But hey, what's new? I knew this site was run by Americans! (will that be left to stand I wonder?!)

You'll notice my registration date is this month. I'm not a newbie but I've been around for years but always get fed up with threads seem to always degrade into nothing and have not given ET much more than an occasional glance. I happened to come back and browse ET and found Simtraders post which evolved into this thread. It seemed to have value from a trading perspective, Johnny has a colorful personality but he's made some significant, though provoking contributions and has been more helpful than just about any contributor I've seen on ET. I am trying to get something positive out of this thread. If you're going to get involved and start censoring this thread and it goes to hell I'll be gone for good. You'll eventually weed it down to a bunch of kids looking for the holy grail and picking fights but contributing nothing. If that's what you want then have at it.

I am not a fan of JR's language, but nobody censored him, when he was posting in hershey's thread.

why now in his thread?

JR gave to all of us a very nice trading setup, and there is a way to ignore a poster.

I think he needs to talk like this, because his wife would never allow him to talk like this at home :confused

so please let him stay here and lets have fun

I have enjoyed listening to JR's rational behind his setups and would still like to continue to pick his brain about reasons,why or whynot he did or didnot do a certain trade. I think if we can keep on topic, should be ok, we don't need yahoo's coming in here saying this or that about this strategy sucks or whatever, if you don't like what he's saying just don't ready the thread. I registered last year when i found this place, but really didn't stick around cause there wasn't much of value, everyy thread ends up with little kid calling each other names, this one i hope stays, and stays on topic

Please cut JR some slack. His posts and this thread have been genuinely helpful to me and to others. I would like them to continue, unhindered by too tight a rein.
