I run with CCVbars but not TS.
If TS CCVbars are indeed constant then all your volume bars in the vol window will be the same height.
If they are not then ask TS if they are showing strikes when CCVbars are selected.
I would avoid asking them if the bars are constant.

Well, the good news is that even if these bars arent constructed perfectly, this really has no bearing on my entries and exits, and If Im thrown off a tick here or there, then this too has no real bearing either (who knows maybe Im even helped a tick or two at times)
They key, as mentioned it the way these bars speed up and slow down according to volatility driven by volume.

You should try to keep the bars as constant as possible.
After all if the software is constant, the data presentation is constant, your method is constant and your mind is constant, then that leaves only the price to jump around.
And that is the only thing that we trade

Fearless, I know you are 100 percent correct! In this case I happen to think a constant method (including using CVB bars) and mind is about 98 % of the importance, and the construction of these bars is 2%, but why not get everything perfect if you can, and of course Im only guessing....
FYI - Open ECry's charts are also constant volume in the way that prof is explaining.

Depends on the size of the CCVbars.
A 500 lot strike landing on a V10,000 bar at 9,990 is going to change the bar 4.9% ... not much.
Same event on a V2,000 will change the bar 24.5 which is significant.
In fact if this were to happen on a regular basis to varying degrees it would return the bar value to random in my opinion.
