OMG. i just had a flashback.
I imagined i must get up now and drive to work for my fucking job as electrician, for fucking 1,4k € / month netto.

Congrats on making retirement. Were you a FAC? We all appreciate your service.

Now, regarding boredom.

First, remind yourself everyday to appreciate your freedom. The guys in this thread talking about most jobs being slavery are telling it straight.

Second, make sure to learn something new about trading every single day. Read about markets you aren't involved in. Learn something technological regarding trading. Teach yourself the math of risk and volatility. Learn about probability. Clearly your first priority is to make some money but make sure the ball moves down the field a little each day regarding knowledge.

Third, Stay fit. Take some time to workout, cycle or run or lift.

Fourth, keep a good journal.

Fifth, isolate the mundane trading details from your wife. Show that you appreciate her when she gets home. She shouldn't be able to tell if you had an up day or a down day. Listen to her tell about her day.

Sixth, consider getting a dog. A dog is a great wingman for trading.
 
I have an LCD flat screen 26" TV next to my monitors which is set to a financial news TV network(CNBC or Bloomberg); that way I can entertain myself a little while still keeping up with the latest market news. Works for me and highly recommended....helps the time go by a lil faster

So true. To me boredom is a great thing. It means you have nothing to worry about, but worry about what to do.

Contrast this with (maybe a bad analogy) a person living in a 3rd world country who has to worry about walking miles and miles to get to the dirty water well to get water for their family, and what and when they are going to eat next. Or people who live in the extreme ghetto who have to worry about getting shot every time they walk out their door. This is all IMO

yeah, we are really have no problems, if you think about all this poor people on the world.

There isnt any better job than a boring job what makes big money.
We better come back to earth and see what the most people here on earth are going through, dosnt mean we should feel happy because of that, that we have it all, no but, to see the world how it realy is - a daily fight to survive...
 
imagine,

you have only 1k$ for trading on a margin account and you must make 100$ a day to make the 2k$ a month for living.
Every amount over that 1k$ would be automicaly withdrawed.

Then it is a really daily fight for surviving, like any other job, where you work on your own.

Then it would not be boring anymore.

Maybe you try this.....:D :D :D
