DayTrade Signals with Harris Tech

Your journal has certainly been entertaining and informative to follow. Practically usable? Afraid not in the currencies, which is all I trade. It's just not specific enough. If anyone has been able to make money from your currency calls, my hat's off to them.

My sense from the beginning has been that the one element this journal could benefit from the most would be including specific entry, exit and stop loss levels, at time of entry. After all, all those pieces are at your disposal at that time, as part of your trading plan, correct? Doing so would make it potentially a great deal more usable to readers, in real time. Thanks.

Sure I understand.

If you have read my prior journal, you must have gotten the understanding what I fix my target and stop losses as.

for all currency futures traded, its 10 tick stops and 10 targets, unless and otherwise i state that its a 2R trade which would mean 10 ticks stop and 20 ticks target.

For AD, JY, BP, and EC my targets are 10 ticks (or 20 ticks @2R if i mention it) and my stops are always 10 ticks.

For Bonds my targets are 4 ticks ( 8 ticks for 2R's ) and stops are 4 ticks as well. For Notes its 5 ticks as stops and targets always with 10 ticks as 2R trades.

Gold? I dont trade gold much I just watch it cos it gives me a good idea where market is heading.

About Russell its a very fast market, all counter trend trades are 8 ticks and when i see a setup plus divergance on counter trend trades its 1.6 ticks as targets with stops of 8 ticks always. For trend trades I have a mechanical way of riding the wavs for targets as long as trend remain impact or else i exit on weakness which is a part of my plan. For Russell its about Fibs+Div+Elliot waves patters included with few tech indicators.

Using ET, it does have few limitations as the perfect medium of communication. But I am trying to make it best use for everyone without hurting my ownself.

I think what Apex is referring to are posts like this one. Apparently you went short here but decided not to mention it until you covered. If your targets and stops are fixed all you would need to say is something like:"short ER from 37.30, 2R trade" Then everybody knows what's going on. Frankly, how someone can trade 8 or so markets intraday and post here and not have a heart attack is beyond me. You must have a good ticker!:p

Yes you are very right there. But the problem is, when I am entering Russell orders I am kinda more busy taking care of things needed to be done to get into the trade rather then trying to worry I have to post it here on ET which is surly very slow. Still I try my best to tell you guys the areas I am trading from which I hope you have to agree that they are pretty strong ones.

Sometimes I do get ample of warning and time b4 i enter trade and in that case, when things permits, i do post them here.

ABout the 'ticker' lol, well if you are trading with one contract for every 25k things become easy and u usually avoid the mistaks which result beause of the panic. I am kinda used to of my method, its the same rules over and over again, i watch and Hit the triggers. Its like that. I am not suggesting that one should have one cts for every 25k, i know many ppl who can have as low as 2k for every cts they trade and are making big money.

Ever since you started the journal all i read is BEAT THAT, BINGO, etc. Never did I read about you taking a loss. Harris, did you make a bad trade since the beginning of your journal?

Yes I do, I stated earlier that my winning %age is 70 that means the remainder goes to the dumpyard. In Russell its a little better. Just like today when we had a losing trades on Notes and Bonds but again we had a winning trade as well a little after that on both markets.

Its infront of you. You cant deny what U have seen and have been seeing.

Plz excuse my Bingos and Beat That's and bla bla, its just that i have designed it, its my system and I feel real good and proud when it works for me. Atleast I deserve that much dont ya think? :)
