day trading VIX futures vs ES?

Honestly, 2 or 3 should not be an issue. The reality is that if you focus on one symbol, you might be tempted to do trades with bad setups because you have nothing to do that day.

That s what happened to me yesterday....traded the Dow (and lost loads of money) which didn't do anything v say CL or NG.

I think CL is a great trading future. Lots to do.

I know the feeling, i only trade ES and ZB.
Some day's it can be really difficult to wait for a good setup.

I tried to trade instruments like CL, however it clearly didn't work for me
Looks like i perform better in slower moving markets.

I don't think Vix moves more erratically... just more volatile, but there's nothing erratic about it.
