day trading VIX futures vs ES?

Why do you have to choose one or the other? Why can't you have them both on your radar and enter trades in the ones that have opportunities based on your strategy.
focusing on several different markets will mess your brain up. VIX moves more intraday but I wanted input from a decent day trader on which one would be better
You might want to put some more effort in the style of formulating your question, rather than just two question marks to get decent feedback.

are you sure? It looks like they both follow the basic concepts of trends and support and resistance

Honestly, 2 or 3 should not be an issue. The reality is that if you focus on one symbol, you might be tempted to do trades with bad setups because you have nothing to do that day.
