Day trading derivatives futures.

10 Jan US session

China A50 and Hangseng moved probably due to China CPI / PPI news.
usd based (vs jpy, gold, copper, eur) already went down. next signal carries higher risk.
US index and dax already went down. next signal carries higher risk.

oil news coming soon. yesterday it had long blue candle.
so next signal carries higher risk. but then oil likes to take a day or two off after moving.

cattle and hog - well. they should have rested enough.
 
23 Jan US session

target profit per 3 hour session : 4 digits excl decimal
max loss : $1000


yesterday US index futures long blue candle.
there was some down movement during european session.
don't quite like such patterns. anyway be alert.

gold and eur - sleeping very soundly. sweet dream!
gbp - is it going to reverse up?
jpy - already went up.
copper - today long red candle. will it go down further during US session? no idea.
Natural gas - luckily I caught the long signal just now.

HO/RB gas/crude oil - also sleeping very soundly. good night!
XBT - yesterday long red candle. now sleeping. good night!
Hope the Koreans will say something to move the market.

cattle/hog - past few days small range. wonder when it will move.
corn/soya/wheat - in coma. perhaps supply vs demand rather balanced.

24 Jan Eur session

Eurex FBTP/FGBX/FGBL/dax - day range has been small but seems like fbgx is quite tradable.
eur/gbp/jpy/gold - yesterday up. now it looks patternless and directionless.

copper / natural gas - yesterday already moved. today might not move. anyway better be alert..

HO/RB gasoline / crude oil - yesterday movement very crooked.
wonder who were those traders / big boys who made it sooo crooked.
this has always been a mystery.
today will it move properly? no idea.

xbt - day range getting smaller. perhaps waiting for Korea minister to say something. hope to see very long red candle soon.
good news that margin requirement now rather low - < $5k per contract!!
soon it might be $1k per contract?!?!! Then we can trade tens of contracts.

USD based (eur, gold, jpy, copper, natural gas ...) appears to have found its comfort zone.
energy futures. seems to be resting.

Ok. first time trading bitcoin.
at least its movement is not so jerky like Hangseng, heating oil and RB gasoline.

shorted xbt @5pm.

will need to pay attention during Eur afternoon time as Trump is going to talk.

xbt past few days day range not that healthy.
natural gas gapped down. will stay away for next few hours.
currencies, gold - seems like not much interest so far.
asian index futures - day range has been healthy.

so will probably just focus on asian index futures.

eurex buxl - now moving within big range 161.5 to 164 and with healthy day range.
HO / RB / Crude oil - past few days many blue candles. but oil tends to be laggard.

currencies, usd based- past few days good day range.
 
1 Feb US session

Russell, YM , ES, NQ futures - about 2 - 3 days of long red candle.
Price already gone down during European session.

cattle and hog. movement rather choopy.


eur, gbp, jpy, gold, Heating oil, crude oil- already moved during eur session.
will it move during US session? chances slim but be on alert.

natural gas - yesterday long red candle.
will it move during US session? chances very slim but be on alert.

well. let's see if it can pierce 9000 decisively.
let me stretch my trading ladder to 27" long for visual effect.

2 Feb Asian session
Asian index futures - day range has been very healthy.
yesterday India nifty super wide day range at 2.3%. however, not easy to profit from it due to its violent unpredictable nature.
jpy sleeping for few days already.

xbt bitcoin - yesterday already went down. pehaps it will need to rest today.
good to see initial margin requirement getting lower. now only $4.4k.
who knows, it might be < $1k soon.

USD based tends not to move during asian time but have to be alert.

past few weeks, there are lots of good signals during asian, eur & US trading sessions.
average about 5 to 10 good signals per 3 hrs trading session.

so set aggressive target profit of 4 digits (exclude decimal),
max loss of 3 digits ( < $999) per trading session.


main focus will be on index futures.
