Day trading derivatives futures.

how many lots?
It is based on the money management, and your trade plan (max loss per trade and per day allowable).
Usually (not always), when intermarkets move in tandem, and market move decisively, probability of success will be good.
In today case, simsci, Taiwan index, China A50, Hangseng, NQ, Nikkei, crude oil all moved together.
Interestingly today India Nifty went down alot for whatever reason.
But do note when market moves noisy jerkily and sluggishly,
with lots of poisonous spikes sprinkled everywhere , price movement could be alot.
Avoiding being injured by those spikes become very challenging.

28 Jan session preparation
what happened so far ....
Index futures
- most asian index & dax futures were up
- NQ was up during Asian session. come US session it has no more strength.
- India Nifty long red candle due to whatever reason
USD based
- aud, eur, copper up
- gbp up mysteriously during Asian session. and up again during US session
- gold - very long blue candle. uptrend started during Eur session.
Others
- crude oil, copper - occassionally intercorrelated with index futures
- natural gas still very healthy day range.
- Italy Btp and Germany buxl - small day range. wonder when its day
range will widen.
what happened so far ....
Index futures

be limited.

NQ ES RTY (and perhaps crude oil) up 836p
dax - sleeping soundly.

NQ ES RTY long blue candle
dax long red candle due to whatever reason.
germany buxl (and ZB ZN ) long blue candle
crude oil swing up massively, then swing down massively
eur gbp copper gold moved a little after previous day up movement.
what happened few hours ago ....
Hangseng long red candle.
NQ not moving even though Hangseng was down.
Lately NQ behaviour changed.
It refused to move during asian and Eur session
India Nifty moving very nicely and smoothly.
What happened yesterday :
NQ ES RTY long blue candle
dax long red candle due to whatever reason.
germany buxl (and ZB ZN ) long blue candle
crude oil swing up massively, then swing down massively
eur gbp copper gold moved a little after previous day up movement.
what happened few hours ago ....
Hangseng long red candle.
NQ not moving even though Hangseng was down.
Lately NQ behaviour changed.
It refused to move during asian and Eur session
India Nifty moving very nicely and smoothly.

India Nifty - chart pattern very nice. day range very wide.
price moved (up and down ...) probably due to India budget things
Italy btp - long red candle due to Italy growth number.
Unfortunately all my economic calenders are useless.
NQ dow ... small day range. movement rather disorganised.
rather immune to major economic data news.
Average day range for Jan 19 is about half of Feb 18 !
NQ getting rather untradable during Asian and Eur session.
crude oil - long blue candle. Indeed it went beyond 55.35
Natural gas - getting cheaper and cheaper. winter must be
rather warm. day range still good at 120 ticks, but price movement
rather disorganised.
eur gbp gold copper - all sleeping
Overall, there were fewer signals on 1 Feb.
some of the futures have very wide day range.
some of the futures are tradable, some untradable.
