Day trading Crypto assets

Just this month (or maybe it was last month) I stumbled across a guy named Gareth Soloway whom I now check out on a daily basis. According to Kartra...

"In 2022, Gareth co-founded Verified Investing Education, together with The Better Traders and Kitco Media, as the ultimate one-stop-resource for traders and investors around the world to learn how to become a master trader and investor in stocks, crypto, forex, and commodities."

Apparently, they've got a guy named Paul Sampson who focuses (exclusively?) on cryptocurrencies. I haven't vetted the guy, so I'm not recommending him. However, I did vet Gareth, so presumably, given that they are both with the same group, hopefully the guy is legit. In any case, if you're looking for knowledgeable info on crypto, he might (or might not) be someone to look into...

For sure it is worth checking out, thanks. I have been going around on YouTube a bit, but didn't come across them.

Hardest part of it is starting the whole thing for me. I do my research and all that but somehow I still end up not trusting my analysis of things. BTC can be so unpredictable. It has to be the volatility for me.

OK, when i have a ''hardest part +hard time'' , i find something better.
But i'm over 50.777 years young;
prefer ,1st choice not to daytrade, i have done plenty daytrades in APR;
but makes sense for me when not sure of the trend, ETFs:caution::caution:
You are kinda right, it's become even harder to predict, and work on on a daily basis.

I'm the opposite almost of day-trading. Prefer leaps, sometimes 3+ years out. Today was an exception, shorted calls on Argo (ARBK) set to expire in October this year. Only reason they expire so soon is that's the longest contract out in the chain.
Hmmm right, investing in Crypto can surely be profitable, but it also takes a lot of time to make something good come out of it.

Thanks ,kindly.
But so many ways to make money;
Kind LLC looks like they are doing well with that name LOL + whole grain snacks................................................................
That founder most likely had a mom like mine, loVed to remind him to be kind??:D:D
But daytrading\ can kinda help when/ like SPY is putting in a 1st quarter bottom. above 200dma maybe ??

I don't do binaries, and (almost) never do weeklies. Excluding my LEAPs which eventually degrade into weeklies given enough theta bucks :)

I used to think those new 50-year bonds were silly. But the more I think of it, if I could get involved in 1 or 2-decade long DTE leaps, I'd probably go for it big-time. Of course, it's the square-root rule that kills you (if short).. so maybe I'm just fantasizing about something that has a good reason why it's never been implemented to date.

If I have anything expiring in 30 days, that's considered pretty short timeline for me. I started to really get conditioned this way after being on the wrong side of assignments that were many weeks (months) in advance. Something, 99.99% of textbooks don't even count as a possibility.

That's a lot of time to wait to get some potential profit. If you don't mind me asking, how much money do you put on each one, and what are your criteria for the amount you spend on them?

In comparison to what I have been doing, this is basically going from 0 to 100 if I even try this method. Sounds really difficult to me, and would take a lot of nerves to do. I can barely handle day trading, the stress from such long term positions would kill me :banghead:

Yeah well I'm not saying day trading can't bring in money, I'm just saying it's quite difficult to me to find daily entry points. That's a good point you mentioned, getting the longer-termed market trend can really help with your overall analysis of the movement, MA is always important to consider of course. Will surely help to look at the charts with a wider view of the whole thing.
