day trading and greeks

if i day trading options that have a week or two till expiration, should i take into account the theta and vega. or they mainly change during the market close and i should not worry about it changing in middle of a trade?

You should always mind the greeks no matter how long until expiration the option has. In fact, you should mind it more the longer until expiration an option has.

Unlikley they will be relevant over a short time period.
 
Someone here once told me to look at charts like this and advised me not to day trade options. Instead, swing options as they generally tracked underlying direction quite well:
