Day trading a suckers game?

There's a study showing pension funds made most of their money on holdings held between one to four years. Funds that held less than one year lost money, day trading made 1%.

Consistently profitable each quarter for a couple of years. I define day trading as having to stare at the screens each day, typically in and out of positions within the same day.

That's reasonable. I suspect I'll get bored of day trading by that time ;-)

The "staring at the screens" part feels like a legit script for a Hollywood blockbuster.
