This thread is 99.9% filler. The only useful tip is to use stops and keep losses small. Thats all you need to know.

Hey Ironfist,

I new you could do it, congratulation!! Do you use stop losses before entering the trade?

I am having a problem with adding image within the body of message. Could you pleas advice, the following instruction provided by host does’t work? i must be doing something wrong..

I use a stop either 1 tick above/below the last high/low (sometimes results in catastrophic losses) or when the slope of the FastMA changes (sometimes this happens before the "natural stop.")

As for "I knew you could do it," thanks! But I'm not doing anything differently today than I have any other day of trading this method.

I'm still afraid to use real money until I can come up with a stop algorithm to protect me from catastrophic loss (especially on a day that should be an obvious profitable day, such as yesterday).

Yes, there are 3 ways to attach an image:

1) upload it to your own host, such as photobucket, and then link to it here. Put the image location inside tags, so it would look like this:

[img] [url]www.whatever.com/location_of_your_image.jpg[/url]

But do NOT include the spaces after the tags like I did in that example. I had to include spaces otherwise it would think I was actually trying to display an image.

2. Upload an image to ET using the "attach file" option at the bottom, and then display it with [img] tags the same way we did in #1.

3. Upload it to ET using the "attach file" option and just make people click on it in order to see it.

Holy shit +199 ticks in 13 trades today

Better than yesterday which was -40 ticks (adding in the one I forgot to mark on the charts I posted) with 9 trades.

Then again today was a huge trending day.

If only every day was this good.

Ironfist

Well done, how did you set your targets?

Doesn't look like setting stops was much of an issue...

If you only trade in strongly trending markets and avoid choppy and ranging markets your returns will be much better.

Cheers

Targets were just when the FastMA slope changed which is why I did well on this trending day.

Re: trading trending days and avoiding choppy days, how does one know in advance what kind of day it's going to be?

159 ticks over 2 days... If you can do that consistently with size, then you are one of the top 0.5% traders in the world. Well done. There's no way no know for sure till the executions are real.

In any case, good progress man.

Can you post a chart with all of yesterday's trades?
