Day & Night trading Derivatives Futures

This is a personal trading journal. If you're looking for show me yours and I will show you mine type of trading posts, then look somewhere else.

I used to post my live trade in the ET journal.
It was rather distracting.
So I stopped it.
If you see those trades, you will find that scratch trade (no/little profit/loss)
was quite common.

Today market is very unique and quite rare.
the market is moving decisively and massively with lots of Intermarket correlations **.
If you see such a market, glue your butt to the trading chair for the next few hours.

major movers:
US index futures ***, Nikkei,
Taiwan Index *, India Nifty *
WTI crude oil , Shanghai crude oil, gold *

China A50 *, Hangseng, copper *, JPY movement is rather muted.

Thailand, India stock markets are opening soon.
Let's see what they are going to do.

There are some major triggers that trigger this massive correlated move.
Trigger is very unlikely to be from Japan.
It seems more like some bombing thing.

* lots of major activities recently due to whatever reasons.

** That means good news for the traders.

*** US index futures rarely move that much except during President Trump's era.

gold trading

easy trade and fast movement of < 10 minutes.
Gold has a very healthy day range.

Gold, Comex copper, Shanghai copper, (and perhaps crude oil) move in tandem;
that's why it is an easy trade

Keep it up Gold.

Sometimes a bar takes < 1 sec to form.
Sometimes, it takes a few minutes.

The faster the better.
But if it is too fast, the trading platform / charting software cannot cope.

Huh? Haven't heard of that before.

And what is the determining factor that decides how long a bar takes to form?

Does it change depending on volatility or is each bar formed when volume threshold is filled or something like that?
