Day & Night trading Derivatives Futures

Maxi how long have been trading and how many of those years have been day trading by yourself ?

I started investing in stocks when I had a full-time job and right after my graduation. That was 4 decades ago.
In those days, I had to plot the chart on graph paper manually (with a calculator, pencil, and those things).
Computers were still not available for home use.

I started trading stocks (US stocks, Japanese stocks, ....),
options on this-and-that,
futures outright/futures spread this-and-that,
about 2 decades ago.

A few years later, I became a full-time day & night trading futures.

So more than half of my life is on investing/trading financial instruments.

You mentioned a while ago that you never made much money investing. Is this true ?

I invested in stocks a few decades ago.
I made a decent sum.
I also lost a big sum.
So I gave up investing in stocks.

Subsequently, I tried trading in various things before I
found my edge in day/night trading futures.

26 Mar gold trading

This pattern is quite common.

wave 1 - reversal signal.
Before that, the Europeans pushed the price up.

wave 2 & 3 - continuation signal.

day range on 26 Mar was at the healthy 1.5%

11 Apr 2024 Gold trading

3P PATTERN

very similar pattern to the 26 Mar 2024 chart (see my previous post)

1P - first point. It might not be easy to enter at 1P

2P - 2nd point. 2nd chance for you to enter. Start drawing the blue trendline

3P - 3rd point. 3rd chance for you to enter. Notice that the whole world is actually
drawing the trendline.

As of now, there are two down waves (Wave 1 and Wave 2).

WTF?? You said you don't count waves (eg. Elliott Waves). What do you call this?

ABC 123 abc xyz with rays and Gatley butterfly and arcs and lines and fibo there and there about 3 decades ago.
I have since cleansed my mind from those things.

Happy using Elliott's theory and those rays and fibos.

I don't follow Elliott Wave's nonsense.

What do you call this?
You can try to look for the answer in EW book.
