26 Feb Eur session preparation

for such a market, trade non stop.
The signals will come out of nowhere, and there
will be lots of signals.

in most cases, use MARKET order , NOT LIMIT order
because of rapid movement.

STOP loss has to be increased

choosing the trendy futures is very important.

will the charts freeze later?
yesterday it didn't.

Today Asian (and to some extent Eur ) session was rather violent.

in such a market, looking/waiting for market inter-correlation is extremely important
as there are thousands of fake signals.

what to focus on?
see earlier postings.

26 Feb US session violent day #2 trendiness analysis

what a violent market.
Most of the charts were simply repulsive.
Luckily I stopped trading very early.

Asian/Eur/US index futures, copper, bonds .... have rather a very wide day range.

only trendy futures was gold.
I'd better don't analyze the remaining charts as
it will give me a terrible headache looking at such a violent messy charts.

overall, on 26 Feb,
the most trendy session to trade was the later part of Eur session.

2 Mar copper trading

copper continues to have an excellent day range.
Today it is very trendy.
The previous day was untrendy.

Comex copper signal.
time up/down, max profit
-----------------------------
930a down, $1250 per lot
216p up, $600
526p up again, $1600

It is nice to stretch the ladder to the max and fill up
my 42" monitor (portrait format) and see the price moving
from one end to the other end.

Shanghai INE copper and Comex copper are rather intercorrelated.
INE copper has a long break during Eur session.
How about London LME copper? No idea. I didn't subscribe to LME data.
anyway, I have no more available screen area.

max profit $5100 per lot if you traded 24x7.
This is one of the rare days where there were very few land mines.
NQ - there were thousands of land mines.

3 Sep US session

what happened so far ...
US & Germany bonds - already went up
gbp - good day range of 220 pips
US index futures - going nowhere
oil and copper - very strangely both went down due to whatever strange reason.
The reason given by the news sounded strange.
Perhaps we will only know the real reason 1 day later.
gold - it appears to be laggard

Not a good sign for US session.
I don't think I will trade with huge quantity.
but then things might change later.

Shanghai INE International Energy Exchange.
Understand foreigners can trade INE products like
crude oil & TSR 20 Rubber.
volume traded is very high.
similarly Dalian Commodity Exchange iron ore volume is very high.
should explore further.

I see that from Esignal, we can subscribe for
Dalian Commodity Exchange, Shanghai Futures, Shanghai INE & Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange datafeeds.
These are the mega exchanges.
What have you looked at / traded Dalian-wise?
[At present, soybeans, soy meal, soy oil corn, palm oil, linear low-density polyethene (LLDPE) futures are traded on the DCE.]

food futures tend to have a very poor day range.
those are not suitable for day trading.
So I am not looking at the DCE products.

I still keep those CME food futures in my archive workspace.

Farmers, spread traders ... will probably be interested to trade those things.
spread traders will probably hold their position for many weeks/months

spreaders might spread across US, China, Brazil,
or do the calendar spread.

look at US index futures - very messy charts.
ie very difficult to earn money trading it.

Lately, Asian index futures are very tradable too.

so far, sleepers are
cac40, omxs30, ftmib, dax
bonds
currencies
