DAX daytrading Strategy

I'm curious as to which Stoxx50 and Dax people are talking about when discussing trading the specific instruments...

DJ EURO STOXX 50 DNTP (DEXX)
DJ EURO STOXX 50 Future (FESX)
DJ STOXX 50 DNTP (DSOX)
DJ STOXX 50 Future (FSTX)

DAX® DNTP (DDAX)
DAX® Future (FDAX)

FESX and FDAX.....but when brokers talk about ticks in FDAX I notice 1/2 point increments...but us retailers see 1 point increments....the actual tick is a 1/2 according to the exchange...

I am new to this too...perhaps a more experienced trader can explain and answer your questions better.
