Data feed for whole US stock market

Quote from traderum:

I'm looking for a RT market data feed (raw data via API) for the whole US stock market, to be used under a Unix/Linux environment,
the API should be in C/C++, Java is maybe ok too.
Are there any competitive alternatives to the "NxCore" product from DTN/IQfeed ( http://www.dtnma.com/ )? Costs about $500/month.
Anybody any experience with this or similar products?

I too have experience with NxCore and I think it's an excellent offering, on many levels. It runs well on Linux under wine, in my experience.

Have you tried to compare NxCore number of trades to CQG data? Is it more granular?

I think NxCore reports (separately) every trade reported through the national system (whatever its name is, I don't remember). I'm pretty sure it gets them all, as well, as I've compared the volume of these individually reported trades to the total volume from other sources and I think it was an exact match (if memory serves me correctly :D).

Don't know about CQG.
