Dash Shaped Candles

I sometimes see dash shaped candles (see the attachment).

I am kind of confused because I never saw candles like this in books.

What's the psychology?

Buyers (Longs) and Sellers (Shorts) at an impasse – neither in control, nor willing to relinquish


At times you see this on stocks trading 10’s / 100’s of millions of share as well
