you're missing the gist. there are lots of "news" driven boards, this is not one of them. i go out of my way to avoid hearing this upgrade and that upgrade and this analyst said blah and that analyst said yada. i'd like to keep it this place a sanctuary from all that stuff.

Correct me if I am wrong or if any of you guys recall the post Labor Day call by Dan Niles in Sept, 2000. If you remember, Niles downgraded INTC pre-market the Tuesday morning after Labor Day and the market immediately turned. It was a similar structure to this years market going into Labor Day, however the outcome turned out to be very different. But either way it's always interesting to study the timing of their major "calls".
