just another reason to miss euroland. we do have some nice local product but there is something about the belgian stuff that seems impossible to capture elsewhere. though the quebecoise are getting close.
You read my mind. I've done some online shopping since the trade closed: bathing suits, bras, and hair products. That's finished. Spent a bit more than I made, I'm afraid. heh! And I have been sipping a lovely German white wine -- a 2001 Reisling Spaetlese. No beer in the house right now. Chimay? I'll keep my eyes open for it.

hmmm chimay, somewhat hard to find, looks like it may repeat on me, but I'll give it a try. Luckily quite a few pubs within walking distance have Hoegaarden on draft, its expensive but worth it. Lately I've been Trying to find "Hoegarrden Forbidden Fruit "which is a beer with an ABV of around 9%, similar in strength to chimay.
