Dalio - Bitcoin might get banned

I love intrinsic value arguments against Bitcoin. What's the intrinsic value of gold?
At least you can touch it. And a small %% of it is being used for jewelry & tech (?)

And @Nobert says BTC is for criminal scum. Criminal scum uses cars too. Should we all stop using cars? LOL.
Don't know what made you laugh, but it's a bad comparison. Next time use ,,food" & ,,scum eats too. Should we stop eating" etc.

Look. It's all about morals for me. If something is being used (actively) for the bad (& really bad) reasons, & it makes the process much easier/safer, - then i will never support it. That's it.

You know few good cops that never sells out , no matter what you offer ? It's kinda like that.

US has gone to wars in order to keep the dollar's position cemented. So banning Bitcoin is a completely reasonable expectation.

all they have to do is press a switch and boom no more convertability. Right now BTC is acting like an inflation heatsink. Everyone putting life savings, borrowing into BTC helps remove excess USD. Once they feel the job is done then the mandate that no banks can transact with bitcoin. And like magic money disappears.

Bitcoins roots are too deep and complex for the government to have any control over. Let's say they ban Bitcoin because of the dark markets. The U.S. has a lot of users so then the dark markets will just start accepting Ethereum. And this is worst case sanario.

Members in the government probably already use crypto, and that's part of the reason it will never be globally adopted is because it would expose the corruption already happening with fiat. But to ban it would also expose the members in the government using it. Something else to think about is they are making Tax money on it. It makes no sense to ban something that is helpful to everyone. It would be like banning food

they will just ban banks from transacting with crypto exchanges etc. They are waiting for max pain when tons of USD goes into the crypto blackhole and then the bridges get drawn up. All that crypto will be on an island with no convertibility to legal tender.

Not a valid argument. Can you touch the internet?

Are you saying criminals don't eat too? LOLOLOL

The second you talk about morals you have lost the argument.

I think it possible Bitcoin get banned in the world, Bitcoin appears from the grassroots and no institution is an authority, as a decentralized payment system, the government leader will never let Bitcoin become the main payment system in the world.
