I think he trades the cash ( spot ) market

spot gold got as high as $666 today

ok ... all you nostradamous types

what does that mean ?

Quote from EliteTr4der:

If the $DXY breaks to the downside we may very well test 81 or even 80 by mid March early April. However, a close above 85.50 would be devastating for Gold. I was stopped out last Friday for a nice $20 profit (caught the move from $635 to $655). Currently neutral until the DXY breaks either way.

Again, today, the dollar AND gold AND silver are gaining.

thebulliondesk is showing gold and silver alot lower

post G7 meeting

but this could be a typo ... I will take a look again tomm.

now prices are unchanged to a tad higher

I wonder what volume has been if we really went

$10-11 lower and back to unchanged in 24 hours
in spot market with futures closed

You know... Oanda's price hasn't changed one cent since Friday's close, $665.60 / 668.10. That's the normal weekend spread, $2.50 (up from $0.40+ on weekdays), in effect from 3:45 pm EST sharp every Friday until late Sunday afternoon.

Besides them, where else, if anywhere, is spot gold tradable on weekends? Tradable, as opposed to quotes displayed.

Tradable weekend spot... SethArb? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?...

Unless someone speaks up, I'll have no choice but to continue to believe that it's limited to the big O, just like in currencies. Whatever you were looking at, SethArb, was just for giggles.

well, the spot mkt unofficially closes when the futures mtk closes, so i would not trade spot when futures are closed.

Cash dealers use futures a lot to hedge their transactions.

the arb between cash and futures are tightly controlled because of this.....

but u can trade spot gold proabaly at CMC markets
