Daily number of trades of individual stock

Hi,
anybody know where one can see how many ticks (ie. # of trades)
a stock or index had on a past date?
It would be nice if Yahoo historic data had this info,
but couldn't find a key for it yet... :-(

I'm pretty sure that feature is available in REDI or Sterling. I used both, can't remember if both have it, but I definitely remember using that in some spreadsheets I had set up. As fas as historical data, no idea. Its a good way to see where big boys playing.
