When you say "this reaction to the downtrend", you mean what exactly - today's move upward, which started at 04:30 (EST) ?

Aye...your right...this downtrend has been going on for a long time hasn't it :cool:

I meant from 08:30 - 14:15 on the 15 min chart.

Haha, that's what forums are for - a bunch of traders to misunderstand each other and overall probably not improve their trading....

I got short USD/CAD when it broke 1.1 - that's been a good trade; wish I was in it sooner. I'm also long some US stock ETFs ... don't have time to watch 2 markets closely, but it would be a shame to miss out on what's happening now in stocks - with a tight stop of course.
 
How are ETFs for trading? I have been interested but basically left my FA do the work there...am thinking about trading them myself, any advice?
 
I was trading the USD/JPY until I finally recognized that the EUR/USD was in a downtrend.

I am not sure why , but I prefer being short over being long in anything I trade.
