Starting a journal for my WTI Crude trades.

Purpose of this thread is to track my progress, provide some insight and setups for traders looking to trade crude.

A little bit about me, I have been trading for 10 years mostly in options and just got started 2 years ago with futures. Doing well so far but not anywhere close to where I want to be.

Goals: double my bal in 6-9 months, improve my mm skills

Current bal 10/16/13 $51,620

Finished off today with a balance of 52,320

6 trades, 4 wins, 2 losses

Best trade today, caught a squeeze, long at 102.39 Exit at 102.80, 4 contracts +$1584

good luck ! What type of strategy do u employ trading crude ?

I look for technical setups and momentum breakouts on the tick charts. Trade the trend on the 15min using 5,20,40 sma's

Friday was a slow day in crude, not much action past the first 3 hours after the open.

Ended the week with 52,980
