It is in the Bible. It is said he was scourged before being put on the cross. Do you know what that word means?

Well, just because something is in the bible doesn't mean it is true. I only reference the text to show it is contradictory to itself and could be interpreted other ways.

Scourging would normally hurt any human being, and anyone saying he was scourged, without clarifying what he was demonstrating, is terrorizing the populace into submission like Pilate.

First, i don't think Pilate scourged him or mocked him. This was business, not personal. The business at hand was a public display of terrorism to terrorize the public. So i don't think there was any private torture offered. Whether it was or wasn't, the result would be the same, no pain.

You must admit that with certain kinds of drugs, humans have the ability to not feel pain. I'm saying that a mind fixed on Christ has more power than these certain kinds of drugs to eliminate pain.

The primary fixation is that you must believe, indeed you must know, that you are not guilty. If you have washed guilt away from various levels of your mind, surface and subsurface. Jesus had done this, and so, could not feel the pain that was intended.

I assumed it was not available because of that, but realize it is probably available if i want to watch it. But why should i? It's more false than the Democrat Jan. 6th committee. It's not true. I'm assuming it's the one by Mel Gibson, the special Catholic, the most famous movie scene on the subject in the world. I've seen enough brief clips of the macabre scene to be aware of what Gibson is up to, and what he intends. Once upon a time i was watching this movie with a group of people, and i stood up and walked out on this scene. So why should i watch it now?

Maybe for the same reason you might not get fully through the movie called "Schindler's List".

It is tough stuff. You need a strong constitution to survive the message, and the visuals. If you are not emotionally strong enough to get through it, that is OK. You'll toughen up when you experience your own fucking tragedy.

I did get through Schindlers List at the time it came out, and can take just so may clips of it on YouTube. True, i would probably not watch it completely through. For them, those Jews, it was different. They did feel pain. I don't necessarily want to watch anyone feeling pain, so unfairly. Villians, yah, i don't mind watching that.

I don't think Jesus chose to feel the pain intended on him that day. So i would only be interested in watching an unusual demonstration of not feeling any pain under those circumstances, whatever they were, probably just the public crucifixion with a humiliating sign that says, "King of the Jews". I would be interested in watching how the scenario didn't ultimately hurt him at all, how he could just walk away from it, without seeking retribution. Retribution for what? He wasn't hurt, at all.

My regimen is simply this: I do peek at all the wars that are documented on YouTube. This regimen has the purpose of keeping me reminded that this is hell, and not to get too comfortable, and to increase my motivation to get the hell out of here. I can only stomach so much of it at one time though, before serious depression sets in, which i don't want. I want to maintain constructive dissatisfaction with the status quo.

Everybody, every day, is carrying their own cross, so-to-speak. I haven't seen this scene so i don't have an opinion on it. What you say is the truth about it, and what facts actually transpired could be different. The assumption is that he felt pain, and even that he intended to feel pain, even though we are supposed to believe he walked on water, called people back from the dead, turned water into wine, walked out of a tomb...but couldn't demonstrate any miracle in regards the feeling of pain?

Those who would have us believe he did feel pain really have a dark motive.

First of all, here is the truth about faith (what you believe):

Man only ever believes what he wants to be true.

If this be the truth about faith, how sick are those of us who are secretly wishing Jesus felt maximum pain. And for what? For my sins? This is unbelievably insulting to any god that is actually Good.

Again, the Jews didn't have anything to do with it. This was all Pontius Pilatus, who had heard people speaking of Jesus as the King of the Jews, which is what the Messiah actually is supposed to be. Crucifying the Jewish Messiah would definitely show them who was boss. It's supposed to be humiliating because if he was the Messiah, what was he doing on my cross (speaking as Pontius Pilatus)? It intends to humiliate both Jesus, and the Jews generally. But Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah.
