DACA expires. What's the big deal? Somehow federal courts have once again meddled in immigration, this time to instruct the President that he cannot end a program that Obama had no legal authority to start in the first place. Trump can ignore these ridiculous orders or wait for the Supreme Court to overturn them, which it surely will.

Either way, DACA is dead and many of these freeloaders will be deported. No one who will ever think about voting for Trump gives a crap. An amnesty would likely have cost him reelection however, so he can thank the democrats for saving him from his own stupidity.

Yep. And the lefties who just get their news from lefty sites don't realize that the Court did not rule that Trump cannot end DACA. They ruled that DACA cannot be ended without following the Administrative Procedures Act and giving advance notice, hold hearings, receive written comments etc- which I don't have any problem with. I don't have any problem with him doing it without those steps either. He should be doing all those things though just to cover his legal bases.

But there is an army of lefty media out there giving the impression that the Court could easily just rule that DACA cannot be eliminated by executive order- based on some procedural rulings they have made. Don't count on it. And the court shot down accelerated hearing of the case- by ruling against Trump's request to bypass the appellate court. And again, the lefty press promotes that as a sign that the Court is signaling that it will not allow daca to be eliminated. That is a reach in their minds. The court knows that- constitutionally- immigration is ultimately in the hands of Congress and it sees that Congress is looking at legislative solutions. There is plenty of good reason for them to just let both the appeals court and congress do their thing as much as possible before taking the case on.

Trump is holding all the cards here. The courts can mess with him to slow things down but no one seriously doubts that something created by executive order cannot be removed by executive order if the proper steps are followed. And he has the majority in Congress, and if he loses it in the midterms, he still has the power to veto anything he does not like. If the dems were smart- and no one is saying they are- they would be out there hustling dem votes for Trumps - essentially dem program. Let em do whatever they gotta do though. Trump offered them a giveaway deal sacrificing half of his base and too much is still not enough for them. Screw em. Withdraw the giveaway deal and double and triple down on the more conservative bills now. Let the whole thing shit the bed.

I didn't say the Court will overturn DACA, although I think it would if given the opportunity. I said the Court will uphold Trump ending it. I don't know if DACA was enacted through a formal rulemaking procedure or if it was just another example of Obama acting like some African dictator. Either way, it can be ended by Trump. It's just a question of the hoops he has to jump through.

We really can't thank the open borders crowd enough for opposing Trump on his idiotic and traitorous amnesty. You may well have ensured his reelection. MAGA!
