DACA - anyone have a non-stupid prediction of what Trump will decide?

so one minute you are calling out racism...
then you try and say well hillary did so well so its racism... with your argument by analogy flawed logic...

but then you see trump did better with blacks and hispanics than Romney.

that is some trippy kool aid you and the dnc are selling.

Donald Trump performed stronger among black and Hispanic voters than Mitt Romney did as the Republican nominee in 2012, according to NBC Exit Polls.

Tuesday’s exit poll results have not yet been finalized but so far they show Trump outmatching Romney by two points in each voting bloc.

Trump claimed 29 percent of the Hispanic vote on Tuesday compared to Romney’s 27 percent in 2012. With blacks, exit polls show Trump claimed 8 percent of the vote to the previous Republican nominee’s 6 percent.

Let the dems just focus on the special interest votes- it is a proven formula for disaster so I am all for it. They have not figured out how to focus just on abortion rights, transgenders, and hispanics without making mainstream america feel like they are being ignored and I dont have an answer for them. Whatever they are doing, just keep on doing it. And if bernie's good at it or Fauxcahontis. excellent, go for it. Whatever the dems want to do for a strategy, is fine with me. Doubling down on their losing trade is a great plan. If they are looking for that new car smell, fine, put the Joe Biden or Maxine Waters out there. They have my support.

exactly correct.
Tony should keep selling the racist kool aide
900 seats and counting.

They wont come close to getting them all out and The democrat president will reverse Trumps decision in 2021 if Congress doesn't pass a bill.If Congress needs 60 votes they wont pass a bill.

BTW 2021 it won't matter. Most of the Dreamers will be settled back in their countries of origin and unlikely to return to the U.S. This makes it critical that Congress do something in the next six months for the "Dreamers" to stay in the U.S.

In Congress most of the proposed reform (a.k.a. Dreamer Act) to DACA is being driven by Republicans such as Senator Tillis and have Democratic support. I expect we will see this portion of it eventually passed within six months.

The Trump administration demands of comprehensive immigration reform and funding for a wall is the portion that is more risky in Congress if the entire package is bundled to the DACA replacement in some form.

Dreamers will be just like regular illegals imo ,they are not going back voluntarily and we are not getting rid of most them just as we have not gotten rid of most illegals imo.

Well, DACA includes a list of where all of them are located. Being part of DACA makes these individuals easy deportation targets.

Except the DACA action stated the personal info would not be used to persecute the recipient unless the US wants a bunch of lawsuits on their hands over breach of trust.

https://www.law360.com/articles/877030/daca-personal-info-can-t-be-used-for-deportation-dhs-says

You need to focus on the words "should not" -- the reality is that they were informed that they were still subject to deportation if the policy changed.

"U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson has told federal lawmakers that the personal information provided by hundreds of thousands of young immigrants in applications for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program should not be used to deport them except in extreme circumstances."

And BTW Jeh Johnson is no longer the Secretary of Homeland Security. Do you really think the Trump administration appointee (replacing Kelly) will not support deportation of Dreamers? Well if he doesn't, then I expect he will be fired via presidential tweets.

But the entire reason for DACA -- giving them the ability to attend universities and hold higher paying jobs will be gone. They will be living in the shadows.

Not necessarily. A remarkable number of republicans are willing to get down off their high horse and support something through gritted teeth. If dems are willing to do the same and support some things that they do not like even if through gritted teeth- then a bill can pass giving daca kids even greater security. If the dems can't, then let the word go out far and wide that the dems set something else as a higher priority than keeping the daca kids here.
